Mission of the Proteomics Core and services provided:
The mission of the Proteomics Core is to provide analysis of GI tract proteins for molecular profiling of clinical samples and for basic research. The core offers current and innovative proteomics technologies including two-dimensional difference gel electrophoresis (2D DIGE), automated image analysis, robotic spot cutting, robotic protein digestion, and protein identification by sensitive high resolution tandem mass spectrometry (MALDI-TOF/TOF and LC-MS/MS). Protein expression data will be compiled with data from the Functional Genomics Core and accessed through a common viewer.
